Ciao frim Italy, about pasta cutting machine or pasta maker, just do it by hand roll it cut it, doesnt need all of that appliances, saying as person from Nomad minimalist culture. My hub is Italian i'm a Kazakh we all do handmade pasta by hand even for huge families and festivities, no one has appliances, broken things is for bad luck and keeps bad energy this is how we think, we keep beautiful dishes stuff that we use constantly, and declutter often.

YES to no decor in the kitchen! I can't stand having to move it around to clean the counters. A couple of years ago I got rid of all my old pots and pans and now only have 2 stainless steel pots, 1 stainless steel frying pan, and I love having less. Did the same with utensils. We do use our Instant Pot multiple times per week. Ditto with the air fryer/toaster oven which I use more than our big oven. Less heat in the kitchen. The one thing I'd love to do is declutter even more of our plates and glasses, but my husband is very resistant to that idea. We have the room to keep it so I'm picking my battles, lol.

Omg I declutterred the wooden spoons and I never heard the end of it. I didn’t realise people had favourites 😂 at least it was an easy fix 😂

I’m currently in the process of decluttering my kitchen and have been able to get rid of so much❤❤❤ I’ve never owned an Instant Pot mainly because I’m waaay too lazy to wash it. Actually, if any small appliances are a bother for me to clean, I won’t purchase them. It’s the same reason I don’t own a KitchenAid mixer. As for cookbooks, one thing I’ve done is go through them and either take a pic of the recipes I like or just tear the page out and put it in my recipe binder. I still have some cookbooks, but my rule is that we enjoy the majority of the recipes or it has to go. Thanks for the great tips😊

I’ve removed everything from my counter except the coffee machine, so it’s quicker and easier to clean the area. All the extra things were just visual clutter which stressed me a bit. I just want to focus on the meal I’m preparing ❤

I dont love to cook, having said that have made three meals a day for 53 years now .Decades ago i finally did away with all the kitchen decor and extra things and the change in my stress level when it came to working in my kitchen... mindboggling !

This is good. As a stay at home home and making 3 meals a day definitely need more but I started like this and then added and added what I really loved.

Things are much more decluttered in my kitchen than the past so I am happy relating to this video. The counter has more space now, however I still feel overwhelmed. I don't love to cook or clean alot. We use our airfryer everyday, the large cutting board, a small lamp I got recently and use each night, my bamboo drying rack, my small plant, and my glass plate of bananas and fake pumpkins, and a fake Halloween plant I've had for years (I minimized my holiday decor alot). I know that sounds like alot but I guess I have 4 counters and it's spread out balanced and used. I keep hushing taking the dryer away because I have a dishwasher and rags but I get so lazy and leave it to dry on rack sometimes a day or two and not hand dry. My stove is also very hard to clean. Our washer and dryer is in our kitchen as well. Idk what to take away or add to have a better time in there. And yes no more rugs in there, other rooms yet but never again the kitchen that gets dirty every day ❤

Thanks for sharing this Becky, I found it really motivating 💪I'm determined to minimise all my spaces to make whatever I'm doing in that space as functional & stress free as possible 😀

I resonate with so many of these ideas. The extra clutter is so time consuming and anxiety producing! Thanks for the motivation!

No decor in my kitchen. Just the fruit bowl on my bench. Cleaning is so easy.

❤ So many good suggestions. I am still working decluttering my basement and last night I removed 2 5 gallon tubs and a smaller tub. But I am thinking of removing the kitchen, rugs and some of the countertop items.

The only item that I have a backup for is a can opener. I had purchased a nice higher end one, and it broke right in the middle of cooking dinner. It was a small miracle that I did not send myself to the emergency room trying to open that can of tomatoes so I could finish dinner. Now that I have a backup, the other one will probably never break!

Bit by bit I am getting rid of duplicate kitchen items and those gadgets we are wooed into buying. It makes for a much more manageable space

I was shocked to find out that Matcha (in the featured matcha drink) is still being researched as to what it does to the body and the immune system. I drank a Starbucks matcha earlier this year and within an hour came down with a severe chest infection that required antibiotics (I’m like a canary in a mine with how I react to things sometimes ie I react quickly). The research is there online about matcha. From what I remember of the research, matcha destabilises the system. Hope this is helpful for anyone who’s been drinking this. Have a nice Autumn, Minimal Ease! Thanks for the inspiration to declutter some more, and the helpful advice.

Totally agree with the idea of taking decor out of the kitchen. It collects dirt and grease. Besides it always looks tacky. Always. I’ve never seen a kitchen that didn’t have some stupid looking wall hanging meant to evoke a farm house. The best decor for a kitchen is what gets used.

The same is true for bathrooms. Those are two spaces where decoration=clutter.

i never buy seasonal kitchen decor or bedding i think its a waste of money and you only really use it for a few weeks :)

Decor is my adhd brain's debate. I get tired of them quickly even i don't buy seasonal decor. I want decorated home, i'm switching for quality pieces, like real painting, good china, which i use, no plastic framed printed art, then dollar store etc. Just my take on decor. Also because i'm an Artist so i hang my paintings or handmade by me.
