In Samskritam the pronunciation of sounds is very important because the meaning of words changes drastically if the words the not pronounced correctly. So, #vak shuddhi is important. So, it is best to learn Sanskrit sounds pronunciation from authentic sources.

This series aims to teach Sanskrit alphabets for beginners. In order to give a strong foundation, in this video we are discussing the Sanskrit vowels in detail and also the Sanskrit pronunciation. Here, Sanskrit alphabets are taught with easy explanation.

I’ve just began helping my newer samskritam classmates, who are having difficulties learning, and memorizing the devanagari symbols, and were dropping out of class. Since I’ve been learning them a while longer, and have pretty mastered most of them, (with my teacher’s blessings), I’ve just began teaching them. I’m so happy to note that at least one person knows the proper pronunciation of the swara “l” (which comes after a, aa, i, ee, u, oo, Ru, Ruu). I’ve seen several videos of basic Sanskrit and everyone has pronounced it as “lR”. What they pronounce makes no sense whatsoever. What you pronounce makes absolute sense. Thank you
