You can't beat Matchbox for the price. I've picked up all but one, several weeks ago at Walmart, but haven't seen them since...

These aren't at the stores in my area yet. We seem to run a little late. The Matchbox and Hot Wheels really amaze me from the perspective of price! In the sixties I was getting a car to play with for $.75 -$1.00 and a candy bar cost a dime. Now they are the same price or the candy bar costs more. Yes, the construction has changed but a kid is still getting a car to play with. It is amazing! I may get some of these. The best Cadillac Ambulance was the original Lesney White Cadillac Ambulance from the sixties. The lines were perfect and it looked gorgeous! This red one looks thick and stubby.

I totally agree, love the detailed lights in the front and back. This is what I hate about some Hot Wheels, they make nice cars but the lack of painting the lights OR adding lenses really holds the cars back. I also wish theyd make a metal/metal real riders versions of some of the older "blue card" models

I was able to find the Series 62, the Eldorado and the ambulance. I like all of them and hope to pick up the others as well--great series.

I got all of them. I really like the 75 Eldorado convertible. I f look at the base of the 63 Ambulance the scale is on the driver's side rear

That’s cool that Matchbox is adding the scale on these models so that Cadillac Escalade should be at 1:64 scale if it’s actually printed on the bottom because the others are either higher or lower in scale.

Good series but it is a shame MBX releases the exact same car multiple times (CTS and Escalade) - they should make it a little different in my view. My only other complaint is that it is a Wal Mart exclusive. I have nothing against wal mart as a company - and their prices, locations and opening hours are good. I can live with their messy, unattractive stores too. However, they are terrible at restocking. Also there is a huge variability between different wal marts in this regard. In practice though these series are almost impossible to find. I have about 12-15 wal marts within 30 minutes drive and only 2 do a decent job of restocking (and keeping things tidy). In contrast most Targets are clean, organized and restocked. I think Wal Mart exclusives need to go and that these sets should also be sold to hobby dealers as well to make them more accessible.

It is amazing what they produce for one dollar but eventually the price has to go up to maintain the quality. They seem to be cutting to the bone already unless they want to end up like Maisto cars.

In your experience, what are some of the more realistically scaled (read true 1:64) HW and MB castings? Some of these new premium lines look real sharp

About what scale is the Eldorado? Is is way smaller than 1/64?

I found 1 of them from the set but went to pay, the register clerk couldn’t ring up bc it wasn’t in their system yet, so I couldn’t buy it. I wonder how the other Cadillacs was sold
