The uMkhonto we Sizwe political party and the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) are expected to face off in the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg next week over the use of the term "Government of National Unity or GNU".

This after the MK Party filed urgent papers in July in the High Court challenging the public broadcaster's use of the term.

The SABC which recently responded to the party's cease and desist prior to the action, describing the MK Party's allegations as "untenable", will oppose the MK's application.

You don't need to be an MK party supporter to agree with them. Hellen Zile has put it straight that "this is the unity between the ANC and the DA"

In 1994 we had a government of national unity formed by Anc, NP and IFP. There were parties outside due to creteria used to form it. In Zimbabwe, such a government was formed between ZANU-PF and MDC. If the cattle says it is an elephant, what worries the moon?

Why would the court entertain this silly argument? We have high levels of crime in our country and the last thing we need is politicians wasting the courts time. The judge should turn them away.
