The thing is I was in a dressing room and I was— like... there was only a little curtain separating us while she was getting her makeup done, and I started like
"I don't think I can do this"
"I don't think I can do this"
and she would have heard it all.
And then she popped out so I put on a brave face for the second time I went out on the balcony, got down on my knees and cried.
I've been listening to her since I was like 9, man, I mean, it's incredible.

the subs are incorrect!! should be “I really held it together, I was like, thanks for having me on the show, B” and at the end it’s “I got on my hands and knees and cried”

Im a native English speaker from the US, and this is hard for me to understand. I have to really focus and listen hard. Don’t worry if it’s hard for you as a non-native speaker! :)

I remember when I started the teacher training college, this was the first audio we heard in Phonetics class. ♥ Great material. I had watched many of Adele's interviews.

Even Americans needs subtitles to understand that accent of English.
For we, people that talk Spanish is like trying to understand the Chile accent

"....curh'in"
That reminded me of an interaction I had with one of my friends in which the irony didn't escape me when he, while very eloquently explaining to me about the "glottal stop, " after I'd asked him about his tendency of dropping his *"T's, "* mentioned that word "glottal stop, " with a glottal stop; something like "gloh'al stop."
He fell silent and we both looked at each other and burst out laughing.
