A Brazilian Supreme Court judge has ordered the immediate suspension of Elon Musk's social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), in Brazil due to its failure to comply with court orders and pay fines. Judge Alexandre de Moraes has given X 24 hours to appoint a new legal representative or face a nationwide ban. Apple and Google have also been instructed to remove X from their app stores within five days. The dispute between Musk and Judge Moraes stems from earlier tensions over platform moderation and misinformation, with Musk calling the judge a "tyrant" and a "dictator."

We all know why. It's difficult to lead people with lies when the truth can be told.

Brazilian here, the minister of the Federal Supreme Court, Alexandre de Moraes demanded that X ban parliamentarians and even teenagers from the social network, without explaining why (eventually the American government leaked the requests, and the requests were made with personal political motivations), and without giving the accused a chance to defend themselves in accordance with Brazilian laws, which is an illegal decision. So, Elon Musk, in accordance with Brazilian laws, said "no", defending the freedom of expression and personal political opinion of those who should be banned. The minister said that X would have to pay a daily fine as long as he did not comply with the illegal banning orders. Elon Musk did not comply with them. So the Minister of the Federal Supreme Court tried to make the Brazilian employees of company X pay for this and then, in response, Elon Musk fired and removed the Brazilian employees from the company. Minister Alexandre de Moraes then decided that the legal representative of X would be punished, as there was no way to punish anyone else in response to this. Elon Musk also removed his legal representative (which is actually illegal in the country, as companies in Brazil need to have a representative). After that, Minister Alexandre made a decision that X had 24 hours to elect a new representative of company X in the country and then punish him illegally, otherwise X would be banned from the country. Elon Musk did not elect. And then the minister censured X. And to pay company X's illegal daily fine for not illegally banning the requested profiles, he blocked the bank accounts of another company; The internet company, Starlink, until the bills are paid illegally, by Starlink itself.
