got a handpan on my list of things to make. Been a while since I drew a smiley face in the dust on the metal to make it

The Rav pan and Hamgam are awesome sounding. Tacta is not a great layout with notes with too much interference makes sound quality fair. Maybe if it was played with more slower melody it might highlight it better. Im surprised you've only just discovered mutant pans when they've been around for a few years now. For eg my A2 pygmy 16 is a 2019 model. Thanks for your time anyway, your doing your best. 👍✌️

Tip: The Meinl D Amara is the same scale as the Rav Vast D Celtic😎

I'm excited about those new Meinl octave drums. I have the Idiopan 14-Inch Dual Tone and it's one of my faves, but it is kind of big and heavy. They went with the tuneable architecture, but it actually has a very small tuning range and because you tune it from the top, it has no ding, so it's a bit of a waste. The Meinl is more like the Guda Plus - thin, rope edge, ding in the middle. Great price compared to both Idiopan and Guda. And, they seem to sound good compared to some of Guda knockoffs that are out there.

Did you know you actually need your shoes and socks off to play?

Com'on guys 369 for a tinny tongie drum wheelcap sound isn't a bargain. At all. Bad advice. Better save your money for a proper RAV. drum Side by side the wheelcap can't compare. The RAV's sounds epic, my first pan and own two besides someothers ans still pplay them A LOT. Keep theiur value and grow with you. (Also RAV optically much better than the NEw Age kitsch look but that might be personal). If you want a free braid go to the Amish don't buy a bad tongue drum ;)
