As soon as I saw the title I knew the best scene for Half-Blood Prince would be ‘Shoelaces’!

For me the worst scene in Half Blood Prince it was the entire “Christmas at the burrow” scene.
Even if you ignore all of Harry and Ginny’s cringey dialogue, the entire scene makes no sense. The Weasley home is destroyed and just…is never addressed again…

Morgan just roasting Steve Kloves throughout was so funny

I love the "3 Brothers Tale" scene! It's so impressive! Always blows my mind. I also love the scene where Ron comes back to the Horcrux hunt in the Dean Forest. That cinematography goes hard!

3:22 I had no idea the entirety of the Hall of Prophesies was CGI. I always thought that the prophesy orbs were CGI, but the shelves were real. That’s amazing, it looks SO REAL. What a fun fact, Morgan!

I disagree with the Chamber of Secrets' worst scene. The line "there's no Hogwarts without you Hagrid." Always bring a tear to my eye.

I remember the entire cinema cracking up when the Horcrux shows a vision of Harry and Hermione kissing to taunt Ron. It was more unintentionally hilarious, and Rupert Grint actually had to leave the set during filming, as he was laughing so much. 😅

If the shoe tie scene isn’t in here as worst I’m seriously surprised

For me the best scene in Chamber of Secrets was the diary sequence. The way Harry and Tom Riddle write to each other, how he gets transported into the past through the diary, the fact that it’s in black in white, the conversation between Tom and Dumbledore, the reveal that perhaps Hagrid is behind everything, and GOD that music is fantastic

Every scene with Maggie Smith is pure gold.

I love how your mom even added that your grandma cringed at that ending too 😂

“I want to see the light leave your eyes” is probably the most underrated line of the entire series. The way it shifts Harry from pure terror to I’ve had enough & it’s time to fight is top notch.

We book-nerds only remember " Wood? Are you a witch or not? "

Entering Diagon Alley in Philosopher's Stone is a pretty good scene, but for me, the best scene from Philosopher's Stone for me is the reveal of Hogwarts. John Williams's score saved that scene as it is. When Chris Columbus and Richard Francis-Bruce sat down to edit that scene, they were trying to make sure it wasn't too long of a scene. Now, the great thing about John Williams is he will always work with a rough cut of a film so as to get a feel for what the music would be like. When they went got to Air Lyndhurst Studios for the scoring sessions with the London Session Orchestra, Columbus and Francis-Bruce didn't know what to expect, but John was up at the podium conducting the orchestra and when he had the orchestra play the piece for Hogwarts's reveal, both Chris and Richard turned to each other and Chris said to Richard, "You know what we're gonna have to do now?" and Richard said "We're going to have to put this scene back in the movie unedited." And it is in the film as how Columbus and cinematographer John Seale originally shot the reveal of Hogwarts.

I remember watching Half Blood Prince in a theatre when it came out, and that undead Inferi scene made me jump! Not only was it a really unexpected jumpscare (and it was foreshadowed that the water is dangerous, mind you), it was LOUD! You know how they like to max out the volume in the theatre so the movie is obnoxiously loud? That scene in particular was probably one of the loudest. That in combination with the jumpscare was truly a terrifying experience!

Films ruined Ginny. She is a high active, charismatic, energentic character in the books. But in the films she is just an introvert, no talk, shy girl which is direct opposite of her real character. Recently the actress who played her also said the same. The film writers ruined her character. I hope the upcoming series will do it better.

I have a counter argument when it comes to Voldemort's death. In some sense, his withering away into dust sort of shows how he's both lost all humanity through creating the horcruxes and how he's as perishable as any other living thing. And he dies slow painful death, watching himself basically crumble to dust, which for him is like a final insult to injury. I do think the book has a better take on it, but I dont think the movie version sucks as much as people say.

For me, the worst scene in "Order of the Phoenix" has to be the flight to the Order HQ. All throughout the entire franchise we have been told that muggles seeing the magical-kind goes against the rules, yet here we have Moody and co. not only flying besides a luxury cruise but also in front of BUCKINGHAM PALACE!

I feel like the Durmstrang and Beauxbaton entrances into the Great Hall is the worst scene in GoF. Even if you didn’t read the books, it’s a corny scene 😂

The book clearly said, “Dumbledore asked calmly”, not “ Dumbledore roared with the fiery fury of a thousand suns in his voice while trying his absolute best not to strangle poor Harry”.
How they managed to screw that part up is beyond me.
