Really good presentation. Important to add: if someone has gone into trance during the sèance, intentionally or unintentionally, they will also come out of it on their own. NEVER touch them, shock them with water in the face, etc. They are in an altered state, and your responsibility is to stand by them, even let them fall asleep, but absolutely stop anyone who thinks to shake them awake. You can't imagine the damage that can be caused to the person in trance.

yes, I believe in them and I also know at the age of 54 yrs old now that they are nothing to mess with for fun.... sometimes you don't get who you call & even more....many times they don't go away!!

It's hard to think that seances are true because anytime I think about it, I picture back in the day when people fooled others. Then on the other hand, I'd never want to do one, just because there is a chance it could go wrong. Don't wanna mess with spirits or even worse. Awesome video.

I've always been fascinated by these things and having had more than one paranormal experience in my life so I do believe in this. I also do really like Lorraine Warren as I have seen her through the years on different paranormal shows or in interviews. I never saw Ed in any of them so he may have already passed away.

I find people's fascination with trying to contact the dead very interesting. My great grandparents and a great aunt on one side of the family were spiritualists and I often wonder what it would have been like to attend their gatherings, just to see what they were actually like. I'm a natural skeptic, more of the type to approach things from a scientific point of view so, unless I read about verifiable, repeatable scientific proof of contact with a known person who has passed away, I will remain a skeptic. I also believe that there are many many things we have no idea about and have yet to discover, about our minds as well as the universe, so I am open minded about what it is people have experienced, and it'll be interesting to see what we discover in years to come.

There was definitely a "Mourning cult" in the Victorian era. Beautiful cemeteries like Highgate, in England, and elaborate funerals were created back then. Mary Lincoln would hold seaces, in the White House, to try to contact her young son during the Civil War years. Queen Victoria wearing mourning colors for the rest of her life, did start a type of fashion for wearing black clothes till one's own death.

OMG I can't believe you mentioned Allan Kardec!! His Christian based spiritualism is still very much practiced here in Brasil and I have studied many of his books, the Book of Spirits, Genesis, and several others as my grandmother and my first husband were Espiritas. His teachings are so interesting and in Brasil hundreds of thousands of people study and practice Espiritismo. This January, 2024 Brazilian cinema is releasing it's second film based on the psychographed messages of Dr André Luis which is part of the Allan Kardec teachings, the continuation of life after death, spiritual contracts and karma, the law of balance. Fascinating teachings that were based on scientific methods of the period. Great of you to include him as so many videos about Seances and spirituality/spiritism tend to ignore him. Excellent video!
