Very good video Aliki. Thanks for the kind words for PY. I am not from Paraguay but I have been married to a beautiful Paraguaya for over 35 years. She arrived in NY as a younger girl so I got very lucky lol. The truth. Since we have been together I have guessed that we’ve been to Paraguay at least 15 different times. I’d have to locate an older passport and it is probably more than 15 times. We even went when our children were babies. The lake in San Bernadino is about ten minutes from my wife’s family home. We spend a lot of time there and also Aregua. We were there recently from early September until mid October 2024. Good luck in your travels. I am retired so I watch a lot of travel videos on YouTube. I’ll be watching.

As a paraguayan I have to say that this is one of the best travel guides I've seen if my own country. It's very informative and the footage is great :)

And yes I had to say that I would agree about PY not being on to many Tourist list. Maybe that’s why I like it so much. IDK. For me that I was born and raised in the NYC area I am much more happier when I am just outside the cities wherever I have been. I love the PY countryside and that is where my wife’s hundreds of relatives still live and where we stay when we are there. It’s only a 5 to 7 minutes by car drive into town. Aregua is also known for its handmade pottery. I hear people say Paraguay is not for everyone. I think I wouldn’t of liked it in my very younger days but at this age I really love it. And my Spanish isn’t the best but I do keep my wife very close. The people are very friendly and would do anything to help someone out. And believe me I don’t trust everyone. That’s what happens when a person grows up in NY. Hah it’s not really that bad. Ciao.

Hi. Just watched your video and found it interesting as it brought back memories for my wife and I of our visit in Nov. 2018. We did Asuncion-Encarnacion (handy for Posadas, Arg.)-Ciudad de Este- Ascuncion. All by Nuestra Senora de Ascuncio coaches (as you say the best). We would like to return to Encarnacion in the future, which has a lovely beach on the Parana river. We didn’t know anyone who had visited Paraguay before, which made the trip better! Good luck on your future travels! Viva 🇵🇾🇵🇾

As a frequent visitor to Paraguay (my wife is Paraguayan), I do recommend Aregua in the spring. The strawberries are fantastic. Literally every main road, back road, track there is a vendor. You will still find limited strawberries until November
Salto Cristal, honestly I don't know of it. Although I've been quite close to it without knowing.
Chaco is full of mystery and legends for the locals, but for me, the mystery is I can't find anything! Nobody, nada. The infrastructure is limited. If you are close to the Brazilian border it's a good for the wildlife. But to the west, north west, it's huge farms and very uninviting. You will struggle to find basic clean accommodation. And it's damn hot!

Yes, you are right. The infrastructure for tourism in Paraguay is almost non-existent. Other countries like Bolivia, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, etc., virtually every other country is prepared to offer tours, transportation, good roads, and good local spots and accommodations for tourists. In Paraguay visiting interesting spots becomes an adventure,
