Did it, loved it ...tryna live it! 😁💜 was a great way to re-train the thinking. The lessons bring the focus back on what's really real. I belive she channeled source just as Jesus did just as we all can 😁

I don't know if you have this hymn in the USA, but we do in the UK. It's a children's hymn, and as a child it was my favourite, but it still resonates now. I think of it when I watch your videos, we are all like children wanting to hear about Jesus :o)

1 Tell me the stories of Jesus
I love to hear;
Things I would ask him to tell me
If He were here:
Scenes by the wayside,
Tales of the sea,
Stories of Jesus,
Tell them to me.
2 First let me hear how the children
Stood round his knee,
And I shall fancy his blessing
Resting on me;
Words full of kindness,
Deeds full of grace,
All in the love-light
Of Jesus' face.

Thank you for this! I was curious about this book since so many have been pushing it. My experience with Yeshua has not be serious at all. He is super playful, kind, loving, humble, not pushy or demanding, and tend to let me figure out things on my own. He has told me that i am brave, and funny. When someone pyshic told me that he wants me to serve. I asked Yeshua the next time i saw him in mediation, he told me to be myself. He has also said he wants me to just live. He leads in a way or teaching that encourages you to find your way.

I know I once prayed to Jesus in my mind and told him that I wanted to know what he really taught, and not just what the bible says. And I asked if there was any way he can lead me to what he taught back then. And I honestly feel like I was led to ACIM as the answer. And later I heard two other people tell me they had also asked in prayer to be led to what he really taught and they too were led to ACIM as the answer. Not saying he wrote it. I always had some doubt about that myself. But I do feel I was led to it as the answer to what he taught. Each lesson seems to give an affirmation that you repeat throughout the day, and it is like reprogramming our subconscious beliefs. If we can do all of that reprogramming in less time, I sure would like to know how to speed up the process.

Though there are those who get the whole idea from a single sentence, a contingent of the audience for ACIM is academic types who prefer a comprehensive, systematic approach. ACIM takes a long walk with the mind identified with the ego using symbols this ego mind is familiar with. It sort of tricks the ego into its own undoing by giving it homework, which the ego loves to do because homework procrastinates awakening. Meanwhile, the practices set up habits of questioning the ego so that the mind eventually identifies with the One. Anyway, I think you’re right that it doesn’t sound like Jesus the personality but it carries the same message.

I have had extensive experience with A Course in Miracles and had to leave it behind when it took me to the brink of an existential crisis and suicidal ideation! Out of that however, came a deep search within to find my own sense of truth (which A Course in Miracles denies saying that there is only one truth) and my own inner voice informed me that A Course in Miracles was indeed a distorted teaching and NOT the true teachings of Jesus, this creating a toxic spiritual path, at least for me. I think this is a very important subject to address because so many take it so seriously and whilst it may work for some, my experience with it and what I have observed in others who study and practice it, is that it is very dangerous and only leads to greater confusion and self denial about the meaning of life here.

Maybe two thousand years ago Jesus used simple parables to teach illiterate, unsophisticated people who had no understanding of psychology but in this time we need something different. As a species we are slowly evolving.. Parables probably wouldn’t work so well today. It takes a year to train the mind to think at a different level of understanding. Jesus has a different audience now, one that understands how the mind works. Just a thought.

YES! You said, "I think it was divine inspiration to the writer... and then (Helen) wrapping her own thoughts around the divine inspiration..." I think of Helen's work as an illustration of one's search for truth. It's a view into her psyche and I don't intend that to be a disparaging observation. "Seek and you will find" is a call to explore in whatever form that will take and recognize the creators that we are. If one is deeply invested in her work in the meantime, well, that's OK too as long as it doesn't become dogma.

David R Hawkins was a big supporter of ACIM but he also said that he didn't believe it was written by Jesus himself

Finally found it!...I was looking for this episode! Short & Sweet. I agree that the Jeshua you knew would not have written such a prosaic and lengthy tome as A Course in Miracles, but personally I believe the 'Christ/God Consciousness" that he is now a part of again (more fully), MAY have, in collaboration with the 'Holy Spirit' and 'Source/All That Is" Itself. And since WE are "ALL ONE", and the 'Trinity' is ONE, then one could make the argument that, once again, WE, as Individuals in the 3-D Realm, are only Channeling (when we accept that we can) THAT Source/All That Is, that we are all aspects of. Peace & Blessings.

You couldn't have read the book very well for you to not understand why it is a years course. It is one of the most knowledgeable books I have ever read and I would strongly recommend this book to anyone. The miracles I have experienced has been profound. This book is the word of Jesus, of that I have no doubt.

I agree with you, John. Also, apparently the scribe (Helen) said her mind/life was completely taken over by the entity she was channeling. She wasn't able to even sleep properly during. And at the end of her life she renounced the book. I can't see Jesus using such an invasive way of communicating with someone but that's just me. The teachings of forgiveness are still good though, so I don't argue with people about it.

It doesn’t matter to me but maybe its good motivation for other people to start their spiritual journeys. Sometimes I don’t really get people asking an opinion of someone else to validate what their intuition tells them. Its really a very personal thing this intuition. Nobody can really validate that. Either you follow and find out or you don’t and stay where you are I guess.

ACIM seems to be coming from somewhere other than the writer with A LOT of info I think. The reason why I think so is that the seven hermetic principles are within the material of ACIM. I don’t think the writer was really smart enough to know how to throw those concepts in there in that fashion without being very direct and literal nor do I think she even studied them at all.

From the way I understand it, its merely a way to explain spiritual concepts through christian verbiage and helping to release many from their religious dogmas. Another interesting read is “Christ Returns Reveals Startling Truths” by the recorder.

Maybe the important lesson here is just to follow our own intuition and find out the answers for ourselves.

Unless Jesua taught like this BC he knew it takes humans a long time to change. So maybe he took the year to help humans through their own mental delays.

John thanks for posting these helpful videos. I like your perspective on ACIM and my heart goes out to the other commenters who had a spiritual allergic reaction to it. I was calling out to Jesus earlier this year asking for the best path for me. The response I got was: “John-Thomas!” Basically it meant, “Heart chakra first, third eye second; true love first, true perception second; loving understanding; don’t love reality in order to understand it, understand it in order to love it.” ACIM helps me love people and love life because it helps untangle all the false associations in my perception. But love is the reason. The exercises of ACIM, if conducted for a purpose other than love, could certainly manifest an existential nightmare. I’m grateful that you and Gary Renard are active! I’m opening my heart and clearing my mind. I would be curious to hear if you remember anything about St Thomas or whether you have any opinion on Renard being his reincarnation, or on his book “The Disappearance of the Universe.” It contradicts some things you’ve taught, like claiming that the “original gospels” were Aramaic or claiming that Jesus’ father was a stone mason not a carpenter. Not that I really care about the contradictions. I really appreciate having this “dual” path (opening the heart and clearing the mind) because it’s like riding on skis! Easier to balance on two things than one! And prevents me from idolizing either. They are both in service to the same God. But that’s just what works for me.

By doing each concept day by day, the only thing I can imagine is that HABITS were established over time with the reader. Thought patterns were altered. Also, this allowed Helen to sell a workbook besides the ACIM..which now that I consider it, it is probibaly a good thing to Journal spiritual impressions every day. I liked her concepts, but when I reaad it, I ALREADY knew in my heart that Christian faith was NOT the path forward. Blessings John💖

I said the same thing about a course in miracles. It was too abstract. Jesus wouldn't give such a convoluted explanation. It was written in the 60s so she was probably on psychedelics. Jesus would teach more directly. I also believe that jesus would teach his followers to live in the here and now.

It seems that one has to really tune in to their intuition when navigating spiritual material. John, I like your advice on "following what's true to you". Very useful. I myself had just started ACIM lessons so the comments here for this video are quite valuable for me.

Long time ACIM student, Tina Louise Spalding channeled two books that had me absolutely captivated: "Jesus: An Autobiography" and "Great Minds Speak to You". Putting aside the contravercy around the source, I LOVED LOVED LOVED the message: gender equality, living in love, warning against excessive TV watching, travel for experiencing new cultural paradigms... John, especially being someone with access to memories of Jeshua, the man, I'm curious about what your intuition would tell you about the content of the first book that I mentioned: "Jesus, An Autobiography"

If you haven't picked it up, there's no pressure in reading/listening (audiobook available) to it.... I was just curious.

Take care all! Thanks for your work on this channel, John.
