is Summer Fridays worth the hype? (full brand review)

Today we are reviewing the skincare brand Summer Fridays & I'm letting you know whether I think their masks are worth the hype! I feel like I had seen a lot of reviews for their original Jet Lag mask but not a ton of reviews on their new products or their brand as a whole. They are super trendy and all over Instagram so I knew I had to make this video!

My skin is currently oily-combination and my skin and eyes are both extremely sensitive. My number one concerns that I try to target in my routine are dullness & hyper pigmentation left over from my severe cystic acne, and the occasional hormonal breakout. I did take Accutane in 2016 so my skin type has fluctuated a lot, so if you watch past videos of my mine and I describe my skin type differently, that’s why!

i absolutely love the packaging for these masks! not only are they more hygienic than dipping your fingers into tubs, but the metal tubes are also a lot better for the environment than plastic!!

Yes thank you for the differentiation of the jet lag mask and the glossier moon jelly mask! I’ve been debating on which one to purchase, and I think I’ll get the jet lag one during a more... financially sustainable time in my life 😂

Great video, thanks for the review. Honestly I'm so over summer Fridays. they're so transparent with their insta worthy aesthetic like they just focused on cute packaging for a good insta feed and not on good masks. Never bought them when they came out, never will after seeing this review

At first, this line really intrigued me bc A LOT of influencer really raved about the line, & of course it’s very aesthetically pleasing so that’s always a plus, lol. But after I picked up the Overtime Mask, I just wasn’t wowed by it. It’s not bad by any means, it’s just for me, there’s way better stand out skincare lines out there for my needs.

Currently, I’m trying out more clean brands @ Sephora like Youth To The People, Biossance, & next on my list is Kora Organics. So far, very very good. I’m extremely happy with my results. Of course, I’m still using my Tatcha holy grails bc I will always incorporate them in. But overall, my skin is looking very bright lately. It looks like I’m drinking gallons of water daily, lol.💦✨

I’ve tried the jet lag mask and it is my holy grail. I do not apply/use it as she does in the video. I use it as my nighttime moisturizer, so I apply a thin-medium layer and sleep with it on. My skin instantly feels quenched without the oily residue that I normally experience after applying cream moisturizers (I have very oily complexion btw)... I literally can’t stop touching my face after I apply NC it feels so silky smooth! The next morning my skin is beautiful, bright, and soft. After my AM wash, prior to makeup, I apply a thick visible layer of Jet Lag under/corner of my eyes and let sit for 20 minutes, then wipe with tissue. It instantly brightens my eyes... I have acne prone skin and this cream hasn’t broke me out *knock on wood. Have been using since April, just finished my first tube. Sephora offers 2 sizes btw... I do not use this cream during the day as I find it is too thick for my oily skin, and with the daytime humidity (in Hawaii) it leaves me super shiny... Although I have used it a couple times on long flights and it does help my skin get acclimated when traveling from Hawaii (super humid) to Las Vegas (super dry)!

Could you review Kylie Skin and Olehenriksen ? I use the oil balance control toner, but it has a minty cooling effect that might irritate some people, but I love it.

I highly recommend the Andalou Naturals pumpkin honey glycolic mask. It’s one of my holy grails and is so inexpensive with really good ingredients!!!
