we have high suicide because the va does not represent our issues, nor does it address our issues, nor does it ever attempt to address grief. i am a vet who tried to get help with the va, only to meet with rejection of working with federal guidelines like fmla, and to be hung up on after calling the mental health hotline, and getting an appointment with some secretary after the three month wait of the holidays... because, how dare i have the audacity to be in any way upset by that. but i digress... grief is the real demon in the closet/
... although... i do have a very real new concern for those who have served us for how ever long they did, giving their lives, hearts, and minds to trying to build a home for us all, only to now wonder if they too will somehow become some villain for this newly purchased future.
