D.Va Can Heal Other Players (technically)

If you've ever wondered why you have a healing medal as D.Va, you're not alone. This bug goes all the way back to 2017 and allows D.Va to heal other players...technically.

I think the reason why d.va gets ownership of the projectile before deleting it is so that she can get credit for denying ultimates in the kill logs(using matrix on zarya ultimate etc)

when your dva calls out she has gold heals you know something's wrong.

I would have been baffled beyond belief if I saw D.va eliminate her own team member with a damage orb in the kill feed...

If I recall correctly, Doomfist's ult also used to heal enemies if they stood at the outer edge like D.Va's ult.
I think the damage falloff improperly fell into the negatives, healing enemies.

I always knew eating Heal Orb gives D.Va healing stat, but I never would have guessed it was healing the enemy team.

One time I asked my friends "wait how do I have bronze healing on Dva?" and they just went "sometimes the game freaks out when you eat a moira orb" and i just took it for granted, but this explanation really well done!

The reason for the deletion is because of server side computation. Deleting your own projectiles is much "safer" than deleting others. Changing the ownership of the projectiles allows the server to approve the change first, which means a hacked client cant just go deleting everyone's projectiles.
