Hi! Great tutorial, followed it along, received KML file and uploaded it to Google Earth. As a result my plot was situated in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Looks like my input DWG file has no coordinate reference system set. Can you please share your DWG file you are using in this tutorial so I could check what am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Interesting tutorial! I have a problem with locating the roads in a precinct in Sydney Australia. when I import it into Google Earth, it locates somewhere in the middle of the ocean between Australia and South America. I know that the coordination system in Australia is GDA 2020/ zone 55. The Autocad file is given by my lecturer and I don't Know where this problem is coming from. I would be happy if you let me know.

Very interesting. But how could I export the elements I have inside the boundary as well? Let me explain: in AUTOCAD you have the red boundary and inside of it there's green and white lines: I'd like to have them on Google Earth as well, not just the boundary.
My goal is to find a place on Google Earth, draw a polygon with the boundary, save it as a kml, then convert the kml into a dwg, then on AUTOCAD work on this polygon (adding solar panels inside of it for example) and then take it all back to google earth. Is this last step achievable? Thanks

What if the DWG has no geographic coordinates? How can you then input the geographic coordinates into the DWG before exporting to QGIS?
