I've pledged and melted this thing twice. I want it to be useful but I simply can't over the 315p, it's direct competitor. No cargo, very very little internal storage, slow acceleration and decel, fairly limited front facing visibility for exploration... I want to like it.

I paid the $220 and LOVE the turtle. It is my daily for bunkers and such. It flies great and is easy to land. Can easily do light bounties and beacons.
The Star Runner can't do data running, but it is still useful and FUN. FUN is why we play games.

another extremely useful and informative short ship review, personally though while the Terrapin has never been my choice of ship... whether that is down to the lack of gameplay loops to support its use or whether it is unable to hold a vehicle of a meaningful size like its bigger sister... the Valkyrie... i often look at the Terrapin and class it as an infantry only version of or mini Valk just minus the guns and ability to carry an Ursa or a couple or so Cyclones

thanks for another awesome video, i think once the science and recon gameplay comes in properly i may start looking into getting a few of those recon and exploration ships for my ingame fleet, which i feel may be worth doing more then but for those i know who have one of these, they say the ship is their favourite or that they hold it in high regard for flying and range...

i flew one a couple of patches ago to see what it was like, and it felt comfortable but am a Valkyrie fan for that drop ship role of gameplay... though i think as soon as stealth components are more functional and you wanna drop a small team behind enemy lines, i can see ships like these being very useful for doing that and hiding out monitoring hostile positions or even a forward detection ship....

also would say a medical variant and a cargo runner variant would be greatly welcomed though maybe even a bounty hunter version too... 🙂

I heard it has low IR and EM when you disable most of its components?
Was thinking of using it to get close to Jump Town and Ghost Hollow, as that combined with high hull hp seems like it'd be perfect for it.

I bought it day one from the concept and looks. Love it! But, it's still in concept. I believe in the concept if it ever comes to fruition that is. I'll keep it in my fleet as the, "concept" is still the game play I want. I just pull the Pin out every once in a while and stare and wonder at her lil hard turtle shell. Maybe one day. **sniff**

Dear Devs and Sir Chris...

I think you guys need to make the ship's head as tanky looking as possible... which means... thick armor plating instead of fragile glass... and just install cameras... just like that Phoenix or Eagle ship I saw? To complete the immersion... But that's just me. 🤔

I have no idea why this ship was released, as it's easily the most useless ship in the game, since there's no gameplay focused for it.
CIG seems to be doing that alot.
