How do I short solar roadways stock? lol

I’m calling it now, Solar Freaking Aircraft Carrier™ will be able to beam 5Gs into oncoming enemy missiles and reprogram them inflight to detonate optimally above the flight deck in a big bright fireball which will illuminate the solar panels and generate enough power to launch a fighter jet.

Of course, it will warn any pilots of moose on the catapult.

Cannot believe my eyes that these people are still around, I was just a little kid when I watched your first debunking video of them. Now studying to become an engineer, so thanks for the amazing content!

You really have to admire the Brusaws for pulling off a thing like that. It keeps the money coming in for them at least...
The road testing wheel is absolutely hilarious. Back when I was working on my thesis at the federal highway research institute, they had this gigantic thumper on a gantry built over a test track. The whole building was shaking when the hammer was doing it's thing. I'd love to see what this machine would do to the solar roadway and how far the bits of broken glass would fly.

Greetings from Sweden, one of the countries in the world that uses studded tires in the winter.... gonna be a blast on solarpanels. :)

The 100W panel on the roof of my shed has produced 52kWh since your first solar roads video (I installed it at about the same time). If it was 150W it would have produced the same as their install.

Solar roadways to the military general: you reckon you might need some extra energy in your 194 megawatts nuclear power carrier? if yes we got the solution for ya!

The fact that they post a picture of a US Navy aircraft carrier while saying that got a DoD contract with the Air Force, shows these people have no clue what they are doing.

If you have a technologically and financially viable idea and you can get it to market you get taxed, then those taxes pay for fantastic projects like this. Very motivating...

I love it! 30 odd minutes of cynicism and sarcasm. You’re the best, Dave!

I like the accuracy they have on the "Global Smart Cities Market" @22:09 - four significant digits on both!

I remember being 14 watching your first debunking video and I could barely even learn how to solder. Now I’m a 3rd year electrical engineering student. 😂😂

Yeah, I mean covering all the roads, parking lots, sidewalks and other ground transit surfaces is cool and all, but there's even MORE available real estate for solar panels if we use them as drywall in all high-rises, airports, homes, garages, and basements. As a bonus, when you turn on your lights at night, they form a continuous loop of free power with the solar freakin' drywall.

6 years ago (or whenever you did your first video), is when I found the EEVBlog on YouTube. Everyone was "Solar Freakin Roadways" at work, and I was "what a stupid idea, a little engineering math will show this to be a dumb idea", and came across your video. it brings back memories. Sad, it was a tech company too, and they still couldn't understand why it wouldn't work.

Of course it can measure vehicle weight, it could always do that! If the panels break when something drives over them, then that object weighed at least as much as a bicycle!

You had me tearing up there. Solar Freakin Aircraft Carriers.
