Not only dogs, but also people . Kevin Moy threw son to his death from a bridge because he believed that his son was the embodiment of the evil . And later he tried to commit suicide a few times . Zoologist and expert David Sexton, and psychologist Dr. David Sands and examined the causes of why dogs jump and found that in the bushes with the coast on both sides of the bridge live martens, mice, squirrels . When the water evaporates under the bridge, then the smell of these animals stronger and attracts dogs ...

Or maybe the first dog that jumped, jumped to see what's on the other side..but then the other dog after him smelled the dead dog and jumped down to see what's there, and the cycle continues.

Maybe it's just me but whenever I hear "spooky" music in the background I know it's not so much scientific investigation as mere entertainment.

My dogged jumped into a empty canal (not hurt) only because he didn't see what was over the rail and just assumed there was ground at the same level. Same case what's happening with this bridge.

well....today, we took our 2 dogs for a walk over there and at some point we lost one of after 30 sec we realised that she probably jumped over the bridge or fell down somehow. my husband speeded down to find her which was not easy, but eventually I spotted her on the ground....she was alive but in a shock ...we took her to vet and now she is under observation. I couldn't believe when that happend .

I think some dogs are able to see a bit more clearly than others. I've had about 7 dogs in my life and out of those there were only 2 that would sit and watch tv for extended periods of time. They both would also begin barking when they would see a dog or sometimes people depending on what they looked like on screen even without sound. The tvs they were watching were only 24-32 inch tvs and they could see objects clearly in them from 6ft away or more. One was a scottish Terrier, and the other part Beagle/Italian Greyhound.

I read that some of the dogs that don't die simply jump off again, very wierd, I'd never even take my pet near it.

While I DO think it is a combination of the dogs not realizing they're that high up and that they are off leash and able to reach a place where they can leap over, and perhaps an enticing tree branch movement or scent, it doesn't seem to be that simple.

There was a case on this bridge where a dog leaped off, SURVIVED the fall, and came back up - only to LEAP OFF AGAIN!  I don't recall if he survived the second jump.  Probably not.

if it is just the senses like smell, sight and hearing. I think it wold have happen other places as well. This place cant impossible be the only bridge with a noise river and the smell of mink (sorry for my bad English)

I have a freind and her ancestors originated from Scotland and they believed that a guy brought his dog to that bridge and pushed him off because he couldn't afford to keep him anyways they believe that dog turned into a ghost and makes dogs jump off of it

If its a Mink then why do the dogs jump to their deaths in the same spot? And why just dogs, there are many other animals that have a strong sense of smell. And why did this never happen before the 1950s and 1960s when this phenomenon started? And owners who have lost their dog to this have said their dog jumps when they arrive or get out of the car running and jumping right over, before they actually look around to see where they are like they know the place. Researchers should just take a dog under the bridge to see if its possible they sense or smell something there or look up further history about the bridge to see if anything major happened on the bridge or near it. Science doesn't always give a right answer and I don't see how it fits into this. We need to think like a dog and look at their view, we can't just make theories without backing it up with anything. This isn't natural or scientific. Something is making the dogs do this before we can stop them. (This is just what I think)

over 50 dogs in 50 years has died there. According to some other video there are over 500 dogs that jumped to there death there. Huge difference so what is true..?

There's a part of the bridge that has an angle. The dogs want to see what's on the other side of the wall but after they jump, they land on that angled part and too late to react.
