One of my favorite aircraft.
It was the first Revelle model I built in the 60's as a kid.
My family went to the EAA airshow in Rockford Illinois then Oshkosh Wisconsin when it moved every summer.
I bought that model there half price at a booth Revelle had there.
Another year I bought a P51 one that had a nob on the bottom you could turn to fold and unfold the landing gear and a tab to drop bombs of the wings.
Also half price.

Many years ago I bought a ready to fly Slepcev Storch, I had it for 12 years, great plane.

My plane arrived in Panama a week before Nestor's trip to Sun n Fun so he came to Panama, stayed a week checking the plane then continued to Florida.

Nestor is a very nice person.

Around about 1980 or '81 I was cycling around the perimeter track at Booker Airpark protected by the tall hedge from a very strong wind, and found myself actually overtaking a Storch that was just joining the circuit above me.

People that aren't Pilots don't realize how much skill this takes, not that it's that difficult to do but you have to know how to fly slow flight. Landing into a nice headwind always helps!

Pops always had a soft spot for the Storch- he first saw one from a Lysander over Libya. It could have been a bizarre dogfight, they both pretended not to see each other!
Fast forward 60 years and I’m at Fantasy of Flight, Florida, there’s a Storch! A very pleasant man with a very big mustache saw my interest, I told him why, he jumped in and took off. He almost got her hovering then landed in around 100 yards. It was non other than Kermit Weeks!
