Republicans fear an enthusiasm gap in the Georgia runoff after they failed to flip Senate seats in Arizona and Nevada. Congressman-elect Wiley Nickel (D-N.C.) discusses his plans for Congress and whether he would support President Biden in 2024. Sarah Chamberlain, Mark Murray, Eugene Scott and Joe Crowley join the MTP NOW roundtable. Biden meets with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The Jan. 6 committee scrambles to finalize their report to focus more on former President Trump.

Nancy Pelosi is amazing and deserves the leadership if she still wants it. She has earned the respect and loyalty of her party time and time again. I wouldn't blame her a bit though if she is over it, there is only so much BS one person can take. Wiley Nickel's dancing around her nomination feels a bit weak.

Georgia wouldn't be having a run off race if rank choice voting was the law of the land. The runoff election would have already been run with rank choice. Saving the State millions of dollars...

Cruz is rarely correct. But in this instance, he nails it. They should fire their coaching team.
Neither Trump nor McConnell should again hold power. Yet I suspect, fear of there own voting base will once again remove any principle the GOP representatives have. And they will once again bow and cower to both.
It takes a spine to stand against Trump, and a brain to stand against McConnell. Perhaps the Senate rank and file should visit Oz during the lame duck, rather than point fingers.

Kristen Welker is not my preferred choice for host of Meet The Press. There was nothing remarkable about election counting sliding around between sides, looking like it was one way versus the other during the count. That is just a lame thing to say. That's how every election count goes! Why would she say something so ridiculous?
