Astronaut Kevin Ford of NASA, and cosmonauts Evgeny Tarelkin and Oleg Novitskiy of the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) conduct training in advance of their upcoming mission aboard The International Space Station. The trio's presence will restore the station to a six-person crew following a mid-October launch and docking to the International Space Station, initiating Expedition 33. The crew will conduct joint research and operations aboard the station with NASA Astronaut Suni Williams, Cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency astronaut Aki Hoshide. When Williams, Malenchenko and Hoshide depart, Ford will assume command of Expedition 34.
