PRO Surfers and Skimboarders charge INSANE shorebreak at Wedge !!! Spring 2021

Mason Ho, Blair Conklin, Tyler Stanaland, George Bryan, Gary Abdulla, Tanner McDaniel, Kai "Little Dawg" Thompson and more charge shorebreak mutant waves at the Wedge in Early Spring 2021. Surfers and skimboarders were able to skim into the peak all the way from shore! Filmed on the first week of April and includes Easter Sunday footage.

My husband and I just started watching this channel. This was the first video we came across, then I started wandering through the channel. The more we watch, the more we see surfers as seal pups just frolicking in the surf. There's a delightful kind of purity to their goofiness.

I knew it was the wedge when I saw it . I've always lived on the east coast, but recognize the wave from surfing magazine in the 70's and video clips. Haven't heard anyone talking about the backwash the skimboarders are riding into the waves. We had a break here at Carolina Beach, and if conditions were just right, we could catch the backwash and make it halfway back out to the lineup. My friends and I also rode our boards onto the sand during some of the high tide shore breaks, but none this big. I'm up there in age now, and surf no more, but I have memories I'll never forget.

Best 2 rides I've seen from Blair on RB!!!! Clean exit from a barrel, and the other with a monstrous floater drop! I made my own wooden Victoria copies in 1984, and we had to really try to make the most of shorebreak. 3/8" wood ply boards with 2X WilsonArt sides were FAST on the sand though! Indestructible too. J.Gordon foamies came out a few years later and were $200! Ouch!
