Kim doesn't get enough credit for her brains and resilience. Sure, she can be vapid at times, but who isn't once in a while. Her life is obviously luxurious, but it's definitely not easy. She has killer business acumen and prioritizes family over everything. I don't think I'd ever want to trade being anonymous for her fame or the perks that come with it. I don't have the strength to deal with that level of exposure and invasion. But good on her. She's a self-made icon, regardless of how she got there. The ultimate example of turning lemons into delicious fucking lemonade.

Honestly, I don't care what others think when I say this: I have huge respect for her. Whether you're a Kardashian fan or not, you have to admit, the family receives monumental hatred. Every single minute, they are blasted on social media, denigrated from every angle, and she just seems so... calm, so above it, so unattached. Such palpable transcendence from all the flak, and it's a remarkable ability that most people lack. I'm pretty damn thick-skinned, and I don't think I could handle that level of interminable hatred every single day, but she just doesn't give a shit. I love it.
