Surfing Nicaragua’s “Private” Beachie… (VLOG EP8)

Hey guys! Welcome to another VLOG Episode. Playa Colorado is one of the best (and most crowded) waves in Nicaragua. But it’s a break where accessibility becomes an issue. The beach resorts here don’t allow anyone to access the beach with surfboards from the land (seriously, they check your car at the gate), so the only way to surf it is by walking from a neighbouring beach or boat.
I didn’t score it this time, but surf spot privatisation is something I strongly disagree with, which is one of the reasons I made this video… Thanks for the support, as always :))

I surfed all over central america from mid 90s to mid 2000s, really enjoying your films Dan. My favourite place around this area was to stay at Astillero and walk over to Lance's left/get a boat to Playgrounds. Hope you score both. And get some footage, so I can enjoy from dreary London:) Of course when I was doing this everyone said you should have been here in the 80s....

first time me there was 3 others out. last time was 70+ waves were great everytime but the sheer number of people made it unmakeable due to all the dropins and chandeliers on that fast wall.
