That last part blew my mind with not only dealing a card different than what's on top but also changing the top card at the same time.

Shin starts with a traditional gambling demonstration. He shows the top card, then he flips it over and deals a number of cards. He does this the second time with but with the card flipped face up so the spectator sees that shin is keeping the same card on top of the deck. This is called “dealing seconds” or “bottom dealing” or “center dealing” depending on where the dealt cards originate from in the deck.

The last part is very special and what makes this trick very “ShinLim-y”. He flips over the deck of remaining cards. Watch closely at 4 things: What card shin is dealing to the table; what card is face up on the deck before the deal; and what card is face up after the deal. The hand dealt is a Royal Straight, essentially, the best hand in poker.

“But that was only three things to closely watch”, you say? The fourth thing is after Shin spreads the remaining deck on the table. The original top card of the deck (the first card to be turned over) is still in its original position! There is one more type of trick deal to go with bottom, seconds, and center. However I don’t know if the name I know it as is PC or not, but it’s dealing second-from-the-bottom.

This is one of the coolest effects I’ve ever seen!
