if anyone is wondering why they are clamping their toe shoes in their toes, it’s because their coach wants them to train the correct muscles when doing these excersises so they remember to always point their toes.

Little tips cuz I have to do this stuff:

1 keep legs strait if you can do with the blocks that high with legs strait take them down

2 you are not suppose to be pulsing if you can’t do it with your arms put your arms behind you to stable you

To be fair they are doing it with straight legs, and I don’t think it’s gymnastics looks more like ballet, but either way a straight vs bent leg is huge in both, still pretty impressive for a 40yr.

I just turned 60 yesterday and have been doing something like this my entire life. It is absolutely the best thing a woman can do for her core muscles!! It helps stability and mobility in our older years.

I grew up in the 50's/60's to a very poor family. I wanted to learn ballet, the violin and be a Doctor. But because my family was abusive and I had ADHD in a time no one knew about it, so I was beat a lot and humiliated because I could never sit still and asked too many questions. It wasn't till my early teens (15) that we were taken away from my mother and put in foster homes. My foster parents didn't receive any money from the govt. So I worked part-time, graduated H.S. and went to work for the Edison Co. In Mass. I did eventually get a chance to put myself through nursing school twice. The first time I became an LPN. The second time I did 4, yrs of college in 2yrs earning my BSN in nursing. I'm now 72yrs and retired. But I thank the Good Lord for allowing me to work in the field of medicine. I loved my job. So trust that God answers prayers even if their not exactly what you wanted as a child. God bless all of you.

I’m a rhythmic gymnast and we do exercises like that but they aren’t as hard as in Russian schools
