I am a newly certified diver and I
Purchased the Shearwater Perigrine. While I only have a couple dives on it so far...I really like it. Very easy to use and has a great screen.

I’m diving the Shearwater Peregrine as new certified rec diver in cold waters and drysuit... upgraded from Suunto Zoop Novo due to readability and ease of use under water. The screen and menus are so easy to read and use. Really a step up and great computer

The fact that you suggest leaving a thumbs down if you didn't like the video, well, good sir, that alone has awarded you a big fat thumbs up!

I debated between the Peregrine and the Atmos as a mid-range DC. I decided on the Atmos M2 because I wanted a compass, GPS and have a watch style. Whatever you decide on, be sure to buy from Divers Supply. I ordered the Atmos late one night and it was in the mail early the next morning. In addition, when I called Divers Supply for help with my new computer, Bob Collins himself answered the phone and was very friendly and helpful in getting me the guidance I needed. Big thumbs up!

Love your vids. New diver here, OW in Sept and AOW at the end of Nov. 5 dives during my OW, 64 dives in the 114 days since my OW. I have been using the Peregrine since my 8th logged dive. I also have a Zoop Novo that came with the used regs I 1st purchased. The Zoop is the secondary, and to be truthful, I have not looked at it since I got the Peregrine. One day, a Perdix with AI will find it's way to be my primary, and then relegating the Peregrine to the secondary role. Shearwater is a local company to me, as I live on Vancouver Island. Lots of great shore diving here.

I have the Perdix-AI, I find I like the AI function more after the dive than while on the dive. I look at my gauge most of the time. I also like how you can adjust the high and low to GFs you are comfortable with. The Teric doesn't really do anything for me. Data fields are condensed, otherwise it is a wearable version of the Perdix. It is a bit more expensive.

Seac seems to be a great computer. There is a nice one page diagram in the manual that helps you learn it quickly that you can print and put in your dry gear bag.

I vote for the teric. Air integrated, super easy menu, very intuitive. Easy to change gases, can use for rec or tec diving. Super color screen. I’ve been diving mine since 2019. Love it.

Good stuff, I went with the Aqualung i200c as my first dive computer. LCD was fine for me and I did not think I would "need" air integration. The Bluetooth connectivity is quite handy.

thanks for the video. in future videos could you go into more detail differentiating the computers? price, algorithm used, ect. if something is harder or easier to navigate, maybe explain why? Why did your staff pick these specifically? I realize that I could look this info up on my own but what's the point of these videos if I have to do that anyways?

Another vote for the Peregrine.

I keep a Cressi Leonardo as a back up; I removed the wrist strap and put the "screwbars" back in, then I wove the right strap of my BC through the back much like a NATO watch strap. So my back up is semi permanently attached to my BC.

These videos are good and so is the DS website. If I can get within driving distance (from Texas) there are some things I plan to get after trying them on in person.

Hello. I know this is an old video. Thought maybe I should share my Experience with a SEAC Screen. Bought New back in March 2022. Lasted a few months in a 7-9Ft deep pool. Then Locked Up. Showing Letters where Numbers should be. SEAC Warrantied the unit. The Replacement Only lasted about 2 months. Used on Sun. Worked fine. Left in my bag overnight. Mon I go to use it. Problem. Locked with a screen showing 7 Ft depth. Removed the Battery to Reboot. Same Problem as the first unit. Now I am sending in again to SEAC in Florida. In their response(email) they think I am doing something to the Screen causing this Issue.
