At first I hated the opening sound of the vocals for the first verse. That telephone quality. But then it made me feel like I was listening to a recording of an actual killer committing his crimes and it made the whole song a lot more cinematic and horrifying.

I can understand where all of these comments are coming from. The song title itself is controversial but.. I'm being genuinely honest when saying that this song helped me personally as a victim of sexual assault. The version with Tori Amos talking about the RAINN HOPE hotline actually got me to call them & discuss what I had been through. For me personally, this song exploits the disgusting things in this world yet also reaches out to help at the same time. At the end of the day, its just a song. Thank you CC for getting me through some tough shit. I would have never discovered HOPE without them.

I will never forget the first time I heard this album. At that time I had never heard a sound so dense, so heavy in every way.
The riffs specifically of this song bring me a feeling of decadence, despair, morbidity, allying with perfection to the lyrical theme. Good musicians do that kind of thing, they bring unique sensations through their music.
