I really wish they made inexpensive larger sizes of clear nursery pots for this exact reason. Spending $5-$10 per nursery pot is too much for all my plants 😭

Monsteras will keep growing roots until it's snug before it will focus on leaves. By repotting it bigger, you just bought yourself 6 more months of root growth before it really focuses on the leaves.

That’s because the pot you repotted in was too big. Monsteras like to be snug otherwise they will focus their energy on new roots to snug up rather than new leaves. If you want a jungle of roots, you are doing a great job lol if you want a fuller plant with more leaves. Leaves it alone haha get it? Leaves it alone 😅😅😅

Choose a pot in a size for 2-3 years of growth. The idea 1" upside is just to sell more pots!! A loose soil m8x will keep roots healthy.

Monsteras like to be root bound, if you upscale the pot it'll keep growing the roots and won't grow new leaves efficiently.

I checked out sol souls and they seem really good i just xant stand that they make single use bags of soil for one replant and thats it. Normal people cant afford 20 dollar a bag per plant. Id rather buy a 5 pound bag of perlite and 40 pound soil and mix my own. 😢😅

IDK if it’s just me…but I would go much larger pot when repotting especially if your not cutting those roots back. No wonder they grow out so fast your not adding much more dirt to the sides. But that’s just me a Florida Plant Mama❤
