Mcculloch ProMac 55 Barn find 57cc Vintage Chainsaw for a special friend

Today we start a Sympathetic Restoration on a Vintage Mcculloch ProMac 55 57cc Chainsaw for our Special friend Andrew @ButlerOutdoorsCanada . We'll check her out and See what kind of shape She's in, Check the Piston for scoring, Check Compression, Check Spark, Check the fuel system and carburetor and do some cleaning as well.

The Pro Mac 55's are not real common, and are real performers, so Andrew will like it for sure. The repro fuel lines are prone to leak where they go through the fuel tank, as they are slightly too small. The Chainsaw Guy used to have a kit that used a grommet and regular fuel line as a fix. I replaced the fuel line 3 times before I got a good one on one of my saws. I have sent several emails lately, but they have not been accepted, so I will try again.
