Giant Sword Found In Japan

A rather large serpentine blade was found recently in Japan. After escalating the Tomio Maruyama Burial Mound they found this almost 9 foot blade.
Some are saying this was a ceremonial blade meant to fight evil spirits, but what do you think?

Based on the scale and width, too unwieldy to use as a weapon, so either a ceremonial weapon or some sort of field-sign like a flag.

The bible talks about giants. Originally, humans were more ideally designed being larger, stronger, faster, smarter and lived longer than what we do now. Sin has caused a devolution if you will. The same goes for animals, they have decreased in size as well.
However, some groups of people remained larger. Goliath and his brothers are the most commonly known. Goliath was around nine feet tall, wore a coat of armor that weighed 125lbs, used a 15lb sword and a spear with a 20lb iron head.
