GMC Sierra 410 gears vs Silverado 342 gears

2 5.3l trucks. Both got headers and tune. But the gmc has a 410 gear ratio and the other has stock gears. And it’s a light weight Silverado.

Good run to show the difference from a dig. 4.56 is the way to go in my opinion, got 4.56 front and rear in my Sierra and it's a completely different animal

I just finished putting 4.10s in my truck and damn its a day and night difference going from 3.42s. From a dead stop it accelerates so much quicker and when at speed. Going 45, it doesn't downshift anymore if i want to pick up speed and it accelerates with the torque it gained

Great for towing and racing. Hate my 4.10s though. Getting them switched to 3:42

I hate this approach to see which vehicle is faster. Whichever driver is blowing the horn has an obvious advantage. They’re already beginning to hit the gas by the third honk.

What we need is the little dude from Mario that rides on the cloud thingy. He can pop up and give everyone a tree with lights. I’d buy one.

Honestly the newer gmc has more power factory than the older motors.. gearing makes a huge difference as well as tire size for the final ratio. The taller gears aren't always better. It really depends on your combination.

My stock GMC 4wd has 4.10 possi and at 65 in overdrive im at 2100 RPM. My 2wd Silverado is getting 4.56s if you're used to tall gears 4.10s feel like a big deal but trust me soon you'll be wanting lower gears. But it all depends on what you're trying to achieve with your truck also so if your happy with the results than more power to ya.

I'm lookin to get better acceleration out of my 92 gmc sierra k1500 5.7 she revs high in first n won't shift to about 25 n I got 33's on er n the Trans was jus rebuilt
