A lot of parents actually think comparing their kids to other kids will make them want to try harder but it actually just lowers their self esteem and makes them feel like they have to be the best just for their parents to be proud of them

I used to do ballet, and it is a lot of pressure. I never enjoyed ballet, but I’m glad Valerie managed to enjoy being a ballerina and learned she doesn’t have to be the best at everything. It’s such a sweet story.
