Why is anyone still talking about abortion in relation to federal politics? It's a state issue. If SCOTUS says there's no Constitutional basis to support Roe v. Wade, would federal legislation "codifying Roe" survive SCOTUS review? On the other hand, remember when the pro-life movement tried to pass an amendment to the Constitution that stated life begins at conception? Isn't that a clue that In the absence of a Constitutional Amendment, the federal government has no authority to prohibit abortion? this is a real question. . . I have no dog in the fight, but I'm getting tired of the hysteria around "women's reproductive rights." Pro-choice voters need to elect STATE representatives that will protect abortion rights.
