Would you recomend running the skimmer while cycling your tank with added bacteria and dry-rock and live sand. If so? With the skimmercup on or of. I ran mine with the cup of and it produced a lot of floating foam in the sump.

Hey BRS team, I have a case of Aiptasia in my tank, and I don't want to add any chemicals or anything of that sort. Can you tell me how can I get rid of it naturally? I have a 20 gallon tank.

Cool series! i have a question. i have read that having a Black or blue background on your tank has a negative effect on your PAR across the tank. it would be beter to have no background. maybe a cool thing to research.

Hi BRS I'm new to this saltwater tanks, my friend owns one and I'm looking after his tank and I have been thoroughly enjoying it.
He doesn't have a proper sump, he uses a wet dry balls which I see people don't recommend. So I'm looking to give him a Christmas gift by making his system better.
Would like to know if a get a few giant clams would they help filter the water of unwanted nutrients that are detrimental to the tanks health?

Can we get a high tech nano reef build? Like 10-20 gallons? I have a 125 and am wanting a nano SPS (10 gallon nano fusion) for the office!

BRS, could you sell small vials of salt water that is exactly 420ppm and alk of say 9 for example. That way since we can use that vial as a test we can see 1. the exact colour change needed 2. We can see if that batch of test kit is somewhat accurate (or use it as a calibration tool in a way). We know its not going to be 100% accurate but at the momenet my red sea test kit shows 340 and someone elses shows 380. thats a huge difference. if we can then use a sample water that is a specific level we know whos is out of whack. or ask red sea and the like to include some sample water in their kits plse : )
