I'm American. Abercrombie and Fitch was really big in America in the early to mid 2000s. They were heavily focused on teens and there were topless male models in the stores. I remember walking by in the mall and I'm like "No way, that's real?" They really pushed this "sex" image. I think it's more of a boring brand now. Nobody is really into it anymore, at least in the mainstream in America.

Now I'm in my mid 30s and I just think it's wild how kids in high school were wearing it and their parents were letting them wear such an expensive and controversial brand as Abercrombie. Back in the mid 2000s the whole image wasn't very good.

I have a younger brother who graduated in 2018, and I don't think Gen Z was into Abercrombie at all. Probably because it stopped advertising and marketing to that teen demographic.

I recently bought a handful of items from there. Looks like a nice decent brand now. Not sex driven.

A&f stuff sucks these days. They peaked around a decade ago. Now you’re paying for the same crap you can get at a target or Walmart. They are all bland, basic colors/styles.
