1 - extra compression for the signal sent to the reverb
2 - add de-esser the signal before it hits the reverb
3 - lowpass & highpass filter EQ the reverb itself
4 - add stereo width
5 - sidechain the reverb to duck under the main vocal a bit

The high pass roll off on the low end really does get rid of the mud. Nice!

Side chaining the reverb! Would never have thought of that! Thanks so much!

Wow I never thought of side chaining the reverb to make it duck when the voice kicks in. This is a huge help. It's exactly what I needed to finish my song

Side chaining the reverb to duck under the vocals is brilliant! I use this for kick/bass side chaining, but I never thought to use it in this way, thanks!

I have a variation on limiting/compressing before reverb.
Transiet shaper before reverb... On drums/arps or click sound... Usually gives me smooth reverb without too much clicky reflections 😁👌

Very good, you covered it all. BUT please use the quickest attack on the side-chain compressor. Every time the vocal began there was a huge portion of hall coming up with her breathing which sounds very unnatural.

Did you check mono for phase issues with the stereo imaging on the reverb? That indicator on the right on the Ozone plugin with the +1 at the top and -1 at the bottom is telling you how mono compatible you are. The further down towards the -1, the more likely it is you'll have phase issues in mono. You were waaaay down there once you started widening. Am I being overly cautious bout the mono compatibility when stereo imaging?

Something I accidentally learned, if your doing LCR panning. Pan synths L&R, make your Reverb size very small (Valhalla like 0-3%), and the reverb will fill that space but become more audible than if you tried making it wide. The result is hearing a very clear and lush reverb in detail, but the mix being very wide, but it all blends together well.

Also don't forget to use the pre-delay and EQ knobs, maybe some saturation to make the reverb pop too.

Correction please 1:13 Lustrous plate is absolutely not from slate digital bro, it is from LiquidSonic...maybe included in slate bundle but that's another story... in an about reverb video this had to be clear to every one because Liquid Sonic is really dope and not so well known.

Thank you for this video! It's very helpful
I have 2 questions:
1- I don't see any "Trim" plug-in in Logic Pro x 10.7.1. Could you please tell me where is it?
2- Is your send on the track in pre-fader or post-fader?
Thank you very much
