That was our first mistake- setting up a system that treats justices like they are GODS or something.

His honesty and ethics were called into question long, long before this. He's rotten from the inside out.

I wonder if the Justice realizes how much disdain these “dear friends” have for him. People don’t respect you when they can buy you.

Accepting gifts is the least of Thomas’ deplorable behavior.

We need term limits and ethics laws for the Supreme Court.

The supreme court has lost an immeasurable amount of credibility. There's no coming back from that.

Thomas and his wife should be sent to prison!

Thomas was *projecting*, not just passing judgement. This country owes Anita Hill a serious formal apology.

And even with this horror of a judge we have yet to hear a peep out of Justice Roberts. That man has helped destroy this country

Harlan Crow the benefactor of Clarence Thomas is on the Board of American Enterprise Institute and they regularly file amicus briefs with the Court....no conflict here folks 🤔

When a justice puts him or herself in a position to be persuaded to make a decision because of expensive gifts given then there is a huge issue.

We should not even address him as Justice. Hypocrite

This is a great example on how the founding fathers weren't these incredible minds that had completely flawless ideas. The fact that there is nearly no way whatsoever to hold the Supreme Court accountable for this kind of behavior is a massive oversight.

The man is unfit for this high office. He is criminal

Doesn't matter what reason he or his billionaire friend comes up with or why they did it, he still didn't report it.

Samuel L. Jackson summed it up perfectly when he referred to this awful excuse of a justice as "Uncle Clarence."

Lifetime appointments and letting them police themselves is just dumb... it's surprising that there hasn't been more corruption

Edit: first time getting 1k likes ! Thanks 😊

There is also this to consider. His defense is that Crowe has never had a case come before him, and he has never lobbied Thomas for anything. But what about the people he would necessarily have met at gatherings at Crowe's estate or on his yacht? Have any of those people had cases argued before the Court or lobbied for anything at all? Because if so, if even one falls in that category, then Crowe has acted as a facilitator to enable the meeting. So there goes that defense right down the garbage chute.
