Erotokritos

I am sure you guys have no idea what the hell erotokritos is (well, except if you are greek, then you know) erotokritos is probably one of the most well known epic poems/songs (10.012 lyrics) of the Cretan renaissance. It's even considered the next best thing after the Iliad like HELLO?! All Greece was raised with this story, we all know it. Some of us from school some of us from our families, but we all kinda do as it's considered the best poem ever written in the 'modern greek literature'. It was written in the 16th-17th century by someone named Vincenzo Kornaros, though unfortunately due the common name we have no idea who he truly was. Anyways, it was written at the place where I currently live, Heraklion Crete. It is set in Medieval Greece or else know the Byzantine Empire. It's the story of Erotokritos (Maxi Iglesias) who've fallen for Arete (Adelaide Kane) , the daughter of king Iraklis (Jeremy Irons),Tom Hiddles is Aristos the evil guy lol well not really but yeah... he is an enemy...anyways the story is kind of a really BIG thing here in Greece and a REALLY BIG thing here in Crete and I love the story so yeah.. here a kind of trailer.Actually sorry I always say poem when it's actually a really epic and lengthy song. Yes you heard right it's a song, that most of us know more than a few lyrics from. To be exact the music in the video itself is the actual melody of the poem, which is awesome by the way and it's one of the factors that made the story immortal and so beloved. I really hope you like the vid and if you are interested in the story there are many translations of the story and if you can get your hands on one of them I totally recommend it. It's awesome. And it's NOTHING like Romeo and Juliet... I assure you...

whoa :O i didn't know the song before so I am definitely completely awestruck :O I love your cast and your manips (and I'm always a fan of such "fantrailers", it's one of my favourite things ever :'D) - and the music sent chills down my spine, esp in combination with the text and the voiceover. Epic does not even begin to describe this.
