There is an easier way to solve this.

8^x = 16

=> ( 2^3)^x = 2 ^4

=> 2^3x = 2^4

=> 3x = 4
=> x = 4/3

x = 1.3333

2*8to power of X is equal to 32. So 8 to the power X is 16.But 16 is 20to the power of 4. So 8to the power of X is 2*3X .So 3X is equal 4., So X is equal to 4/3.
