In pacifist she really didn’t want to kill you at all, she cares about you and is only trying out of the delusion that it might bring back Kanako.
In genocide you killed her best friend, and now she has nobody.
So yeah, it’s determination

She didn't want to kill Clover in pacifist and had to rely on Kanako's magic (which means that Kanako probably knows Fire magic and whatever Yellow object manifestation is) to augment her own power while in Geno she was fueled by rage.Intent matters a lot when it comes to magic in Undertale.

In pacifist, she did lose her daughter, but in Genocide she's lost *everyone* she cares for including her daughter.

I feel like the mask doesn't actually make her stronger, I find it as that way she is able to kill Clover without letting her feelings get to her, "masking" herself.

I'd say she's fuelled by revenge in genocide on top of unconsciously holding back during her pacifist fight. I don't think she has any more determination than any other monster and certainly has less than Undyne.

I believe the mask only acted as a regenerative shield. However, in genocide, she’s fueled by fury.

In pacifist she didn’t want to damage the soul of clover because Chujin said that they needed a pure good soul for the syringe stuff but in genocide she attacks you with magic that damages the soul embodiment making your souls in Geno heavily more damaged

Well maybe not determination, but something similar to what fuels Clover, like vengeance? I'd say she has more intent to kill here than in pacifist where you've befriended her and everyone else

Ceroba's fire power didnt come from the mask but merely it ignited her emotions to let her use it

I think, the reason is even much simplier.
In pacifist, her goal is to save Kanako by any cost, even though, she didnt wanted to hurt Clover. She used her full power out of desperation and love for her daughter. A mother love.

In genocide, it was determination, out of vengeance. She had nothing left and didnt cared, if she would win.

And I doubt, that mask was somehow related to her powers
