It would be nice if she could list the eight things, then allow us to listen to the video if we want more details.

Can relate to 7 out of 8. No desire to foster a burdensome relationship in old age! Life is not just one to one, one has to deal with in-laws, relatives and friends of partners. Being alone and never lonely is far less troublesome. I love my peace and privacy in a secure setting after being involved in all the other idealistic activities. Am I supposed to feel guilty for wanting to go it alone, not be in a relationship? Silence can be golden, especially in the golden years! These years are so satisfying! I am 78.

I’m 78 and independent. I eat grass-fed beef and lamb and pasture-raised pork, chicken, and eggs. Lean meat is not really good for you. Fat is full of important vitamins and allows you to feel full and satisfied for hours after a meal. For a healthy life, fruits and vegetables give little nutritional value and some cause more harm than good. The book _Toxic Super Foods_ describes how to avoid a lot of problems, and it’s not difficult to follow. Just some thoughts…

At 70 I was still working and driving an hour on freeway to get there then worked 12 hours. 70 seriously? Worked til 78. I’m 80 now and can still do all things mentioned. This isn’t the 1800s

So #4 what if you don’t have children? #5 What if your spouse has died? And most of us by age 70 the spouse has died. How about a video realizing a lot of us over 70 live alone and don’t have children but have a network of friends. This video is pretty worthless for most of us,

This annoying video put together by an individual who has no idea of what being old means, reminds me of a mouse on a treadmill pounding away at things that come naturally to those of us who have reached our golden years when surely we can do or not do without feeling guilty about doing exactly what we please.
Life is terminal so enjoy what’s left of it.🥰

I find this video patronising. Many people through no fault of their own must face old age with limited income, poor health, lack of family and so on. I am 91 years old, and still living an active life. I have a lovely home, a continuing excellent income, good health and many friends. I live alone these days and still look after a large house and garden, do my own cooking, laundry and cleaning. Much of this is due to good luck for which I am grateful. It is fatuous to expect many elderly people to be care-free and happy if they suffer arthritis, mobility problems and the rest of it. It is childish to say that life can be unfair, nevertheless there is some truth in the saying.
