The Harvest Simulator is designed to demonstrate the logistical dynamics associated with harvesting crops and allows for the user to visualize the complexities associated with optimizing the interaction of equipment during harvest.

The simulation model begins with the combine starting harvesting. Once the hopper is full, the combine will stop. The simulation model requires the user to control the actions of the grain cart and the truck as the combine harvests. The grain cart can be sent to the combine or to the truck to unload. The truck can be sent to the field or to the bin to unload. You can also switch to automatic control mode.

Think of this work… it’s like EMR data of land and simulating cause and effects. Now… factor in water usage and the interplay of various agency regulation for each shift. I am NOT suggesting handing over this complexity to only software design… but the real world beta testing of complexity and imperfect humans and better… it may lead to better evolving change management realities of community gardens. The modeling could lead to better fathers markets and acquisition of critical mass of delivery to contract with farm to table and or regional chains. The stake holder realities of transportation and water usage… translates directly into health lines… these GAP projects then attract other grants.

Now, this sounds like much… but the interconnections connecting workforce to better benefits… may seem distant… but extensions can help some.

The simulations are not just about industrial farming… think about that for a second.
