YESSIR thanks for this video. I got a jzs155 Toyota crown royal saloon G recently. And I thought it was the weakest version of the 2jz. I didn’t know they came from Japan with stronger rods and pistons. Would love to see what you’ve done with the car so far

I'm thinking of doing the exact same as you (5 speed swap and turbo kit). What turbo kit do you think you'll buy? And what are you going to do about putting the clutch fluid reservoir up the top left of the engine bay?

Sweet, I didnt know these had thicker rods. I have this swapped in my Lexus GS300 and the transmission is a 35-50LS (5spd) so yours might be a 5spd too already, my whole setup is out of a jzs155

You say that VVTi engines are usually bad. But 2JZ's are always good right? I am looking for a reliable car. I want to import one from Japan and I found some interesting Crowns with the JZS155. I don't wanna turbo charge it or anything. Just need a nice engine that will run forever. Are there other really reliable engines otherthere, something bulletproof? I heard the L27 3800 is very reliable.
