My wife gave birth to our first child, a boy named Jackson, on 9/29/17 and the first night we brought him home, I went out to grab us something to eat while she was trying to settle him down and this song came on the radio. I am a strong guy who doesn't cry but this song made me cry like a baby in my truck so much that I had to pull off the side of the road. A part of him will always be my little boy. This song brings me to tears. My dad had 4 boys and we pushed him to the limit. I remember growing up I would get mad bc he always worked. I felt left out. It wasn’t until I had kids of my own that I realized he worked himself to the bone just to make sure we never went without. The respect I have for my dad is endless. That man has taught me how to be a father. That’s a gift worth more than any amount of money. I love you dad.

I lost both my parents back to back years, my dad in Jan. 2014. Mom Sept. 30, 2015 on her birthday😔😔I would only hope I made them proud of the man I became. My wife and I listened to this song while watching our 11 year old boy on his first day of middle school and how its seems like yesterday when I saw my wife holding him on a hospital bed. We both cried once we got home, I called my dad and tell him how I felt and his answer was "you'll know what to do". Good God my boy is growing to fast, way to fast.

When I heard this song it really hit home as my 20 year old just left for basic military training in TX for the Air Force. He is my first born and although I know this is what he wanted as I just retired from the Air Force 1 July 2017 it hurt me knowing that he wasn't coming home. He is my everything from the time he was born until now. He has been a big role model to his 16 year old sister and his little buddy his 11 year old brother. My son is currently in the nicu for along time he’s only 2 months old he was born prematurely at 1.7 oz he’ has a hole in his heart and currently has chronic lung disease as of today he’s currently 3lb he’s a true fighter in my eyes and I know he will be cause he is apart of me. And this song is very uplifting this may sounds bad too some but this song brings tears to my eyes when I listen to it cause it just shows how strong u can be.
