These instrcuctions, like most instructions about English prepositions of movement, leaves out an important feature: prepositions expressing location can function as prepositions of direction, as well, when the movement is moving towards something: "put it in (into) the box", "leave it on (onto) the table", "the cat crawled under the bed" (ok, this case was mentioned in the video), "he slipped the note between pages two and three". In the case of "under" and "between" above, there is not even supposed to be any "to". Similarly, for example "across" does not express only direction but also location: "He lives across the fields". But when the movement is from something, "from" needs to be added: "The cat crawled from under the bed", "He took the note from between pages two and three", "He walked here from across the fields." Many English prepositions of place, then, have the ability of expressing both location and direction *to*, but to express direction *from*, "from" needs to be added, unless there is a specific way to express the movement *from*, such as "out of" or "off".
