Two things this update infuriated me with, 1) the giant lockscreen digital clock that ruins the lockscreen wallpaper altogether, and 2) when I swipe up on both lockscreen and home screen the wallpapers disappear with a dull white background.

How on earth did they think this was a good idea? I fixed the clock on the home screen ages ago, also making the font and icons on the smaller settings, but there isn't an option to sort out the lockscreen clock or keep wallpaper while unlocking phone and switching between running apps. 0/5* rating.

I'm so mad we can't move this huge annoyance of a clock from the middle of our lock screen! I just want a smaller normal one up in the corner and I've never had the issue with any other android. Even ancient ones let you do this and give you different clock widget options. Am I missing something? I just really hate it being in the middle of every pic I wanted to use as a wallpaper and it's too big and ugly and intrusive to me. Not my style and don't like reading the time that way. If anyone ever figures out we can tweak this or an update comes that let's us please let me know. I'd be forever grateful. 😕🤞🏻

This is so STUPID, WHY did they have to FORCE you to have that damn UGLY clock on your lock screen for and not even be able to change it or even change its color without changing the color theme of your entire phone. Until this stupid update the clock was smaller and unobtrusive, now its a freaken eye sore. And they dont even give you the CHOICE of not updating to the new version.

I literally do not have all those options. I have privacy option for notification content, skip lock screen option which is off for a number code log in, add text on lock screen, show wallet which is disabled, and show device controls.

You didn't tell us how to change the lock screen clock display only how to get rid of it

Moto G30 Android 12, which only became available to me a day or two ago, doesn't have those options. Under Settings > Display > Lock Screen I have:

Privacy
Skip lock screen (greyed out)
Add text on lock screen
Show wallet (greyed out; probably need to turn NFC on)
Show device controls

That's it. That over-size font and the way they've formatted the clock without sufficient space is ugly as hell. :(

I have a moto g stylus and those options don't exist for me. Would love to change this and the giant, awkward buttons at the top of the pull-down try that take up too much space and make absolutely no sense, too.

This is such a weird "upgrade..." I want my 11 back.

I think the usage of Moto phones are quite difficult...
Redmi has an edge in its UI user friendly and most probably need of the day..
I was expecting a neat and pure Android, but i didn't know, that it would be that difficult to use it...

I just got the update on my phone right now (moto g stylus 5g) and it's definitely an eye sore. It's so big for no reason and it's overwhelming for me in particular I'm currently so frustrated over it that I'm even shedding tears because of how annoyed I am with this update. Definitely makes me want another android phone that isn't moto g to avoid it's overall horrendous update. Don't even get me start with their "we made the fonts bigger" i liked how it was before. What's with the overall display text being as big as the lockscreen clock. I tried to make it small but now it's too small for my liking just to avoid it.

My Pixel has Settings>Display>Lock Screen>Double-line Clock that you can turn off and it returns the clock to a normal small size in the left corner of the lock screen.
