Finally, our Kerli has returned healthy and strong . Kergu is happy!
📍 Info about Kergu from Birdmap:
A male black stork from the northern part of Pärnumaa. Born in 2011, 10 km from the current nest.
2022 fledged three chicks. The autumn migration starts on August 12. Kergu winters in northwestern Ethiopia. 2023 arrived on April 19, but remained single.

The Black Stork nest camera is situated in Pärnu county in Estonia. We have known about this nest only since 2022, but breeding territory since the 1990s.
2023 season
Before Kergu arrived, nest was visited by neighbor male stork Nurme in April 16th. Few other not ringed storks appeared on nest, but rarely.
2024 season
Camera goes online in 29. 03. Kergu was alone for few weeks, but then was seen in nest young female for several times.
2025 season
Camera installed in 26.03, but get online only 31.03, when Kergu is supposed to arrive. By the time of installation the nest was slightly renovated by bird of prey, probably Common Buzzard. Will a male Black Stork Kergu return to his nest when 38 wind turbines are operating nearby?
