Asus RX570 Strix OC 4GB Thermal Paste and Fan Replacement

In this video today i am doing a thermal paste and fan replacement on a Asus ROG Strix RX570 OC 4GB Gaming.. what a mouthful of a model name!

The thermals are getting a bit high and the fan is a little noise, time to see if that can be fixed.

This is the Blue Pad i always have on my videos usually set at 60 Oc
I use this to soften adhesive on mobile devices.

my go to glue for almost everything now days!

Used to open ipad and remove glued back covers on phones

When using the heat gun near sensitive parts, its best to cover them
With this to protect them

The usual tape i use on most repairs, on screens

For things that need more Stick!,usually on tablet digitizers

A Similar tool kit to mine, that i use for those random screws that you dont normally see

My Soldering Station i use, so far it has been good

This was a purchase to learn a bit more in micro soldering
So far it has been a great purchase

Advanced readouts of power draw on devices

A Simple Amp tester to see if your charger is actually putting out power

The Black Tweezers i use in my videos

This is the same as the metal pry tool i use, different brand printed on it

Thanks for making this. I have an XFX Radeon RX 460 4GB with a single fan that i noticed had fallen off during cleaning this weekend. Will be looking for new fan later, but for now, will just leave the card out of my rig. I really like how you showed the original fan wobbling in place before you pulled it out. Makes a lot of sense. Thanks boss. I accidently broke off two of the blades of a fan while it was running while trying to move something out of its way. Never taken a GPU apart before so it was a little intimidating, but you did a clear job of explaining everything.

Hi, i bought a RX ROG Strix 470 4gb and one of my coolers stop running even when i turn on the MSI Afterburner to test if they are in a good state. Can I change that cooler for one of the Gigabyte model Rx 470 Gigabyte?

So basically had issues with high temperatures because one fan stopped working. Got another one in case that directly hits gpu, and it was alright, temps went 10 celsius lower. Month later, again, gpu temps hitting 90 in games. Decided to change thermal paste for first time ever(after 5 years, btw its asus 470), it was alright for few hours and temps in games were going 'only' up to 75. Few hours later its again hitting 90... whats going on?? Any suggestions? Ordered new fan from ebay but it should arrive in a month or even 2...

i bought rog strix rx 570 6months ago from the first day it goes above 80 so can you please suggest as it is under warranty period

Hey, i wanted yo ask i bought my gpu 5-6 yrs back, so temps are going around 84-85, can changing thermal paste helps in improving temps,

mine seems a little oily around that black heat sink so I considered replacing the pad. Does anyone know what that heat sink is for? I also noticed the memory doesn't have head pads that connect it to the main heatsink which I'm used to seeing in teardowns.
