Here's a little trick for you FFXIV Players out there! If you have a glowing weapon, use this macro!

/sit
/automove on
/automove off

Just in case if you want other people to see that too, it's only works for people who are already around you when you're doing that, people who just arrived after you did that, they will see it normally/unglow

Indeed this is an old glitch which the devs kept. At this point, it's safe to say it's here to stay. I remember this was discovered along with mario go carting glitch back in ARR. We had people moving around in seating position. That was amusing.

edit: I may be wrong about which stick on the controller pulls your weapon and which locks on to target. I'm not in front of my console right now. I say L3, but it could be R3. Sorry if I got them backwards.

If you have a controller, your left stick unsheathes your weapon so...
set a macro for /sit on your hotbar, hit your left stick (L3), and /sit before it's fully unsheathed. You'll get the same effect. You're welcome.

It only shows up for people who are around you when you do it though. If they load in after you do it, it won’t show for them. If you want a perma glowy weapon it’s time to do ultimates :)

Just use sit remote follow by drawing your weapon but you gotta do it fast

I don’t even use the macro. I just unsheath sit. Sure I could use a macro, but the two emotes are right next to each other on my emote hotbar so it isn’t really a pain either way.
